Ingredients

Potatoes

4 cups Potatoes

Butter

60ml Butter

Milk

½ cup Milk

Minced Beef

450g Minced Beef

Onion

1 finely chopped Onion

Creamed Corn

500ml Creamed Corn

Paprika

to taste Paprika

Parsley

to taste Parsley

Salt

Dash Salt

Pepper

Dash Pepper

Instructions

1- In a large pot of salted water, cook the potatoes until they are very tender.

2- Drain.

3- With a masher, coarsely crush the potatoes with at least 30 ml (2 tablespoons) of butter.

4- With an electric mixer, purée with the milk.

5- Season with salt and pepper.

6- Set aside.

7- With the rack in the middle position, preheat the oven to 190 °C (375 °F).

8- In a large skillet, brown the onion in the remaining butter.

9- Add the meat and cook until golden brown.

10- Season with salt and pepper.

11- Remove from the heat.

12- Lightly press the meat at the bottom of a 20-cm (8-inch) square baking dish.

13- Cover with the corn and the mashed potatoes.

14- Sprinkle with paprika and parsley.

15- Bake for about 30 minutes.

16- Finish cooking under the broiler.

17- Let cool for 10 minutes.
