Ingredients

Orange

3 Orange

Demerara Sugar

1 tbs Demerara Sugar

Grand Marnier

2 tbs Grand Marnier

Christmas Pudding

300g Christmas Pudding

Custard

500g Custard

Mascarpone

250g Mascarpone

Double Cream

284ml Double Cream

Flaked Almonds

Handful Flaked Almonds

Dark Chocolate

Grated Dark Chocolate

Instructions

1- Peel the oranges using a sharp knife, ensuring all the pith is removed.

2- Slice as thinly as possible and arrange over a dinner plate.

3- Sprinkle with the demerara sugar followed by the Grand Marnier and set aside.

4- Crumble the Christmas pudding into large pieces and scatter over the bottom of a trifle bowl.

5- Lift the oranges onto the pudding in a layer and pour over any juices.

6- Beat the mascarpone until smooth, then stir in the custard.

7- Spoon the mixture over the top of the oranges.

8- Lightly whip the cream and spoon over the custard.

9- Sprinkle with the flaked almonds and grated chocolate.

10- You can make this a day in advance if you like, chill until ready to serve.
