Ingredients

Flour

2 cups Flour

Salt

1 teaspoon Salt

Granulated Sugar

2 tblsp Granulated Sugar

Baking Powder

1 teaspoon Baking Powder

Cardamom

1/2 teaspoon Cardamom

Egg

3 Egg

Buttermilk

2 cups Buttermilk

Butter

For Greasing Butter

Powdered Sugar

Sprinkling Powdered Sugar

Raspberry Jam

1 scoop Raspberry Jam

Instructions

1- Whisk the flour, salt, sugar, baking soda, and cardamom together in a large bowl.

2- ▢ Separate the eggs and add the egg yolks to the flour mixture.

3- Pour in the buttermilk (or cultured milk) and whisk the batter together until smooth.

4- Cover and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.

5- ▢ Use a hand (or stand) mixer to beat the egg whites until stiff.

6- Carefully fold into the æbleskiver batter.

7- ▢ Heat the pan on medium heat.

8- Once hot, brush the pan with butter and fill each æbleskive hole almost full with the batter.

9- ▢ Once the edges become firm use a knitting needle or wooden skewer to turn the æbleskiver about 1/4.

10- Continue turning until you get round pancake spheres.

11- They should be golden brown.

12- ▢ Remove the æbleskiver from the pan and serve with powdered sugar and jam.
