Ingredients

All purpose flour

500g All purpose flour

Butter

200g Butter

Water

120ml Water

Salt

1 tsp Salt

Ground Beef

500g Ground Beef

Onion

2 chopped Onion

Egg

4 Chopped Egg

Green Olives

100g Green Olives

Cumin

1 teaspoon Cumin

Paprika

1 teaspoon Paprika

Salt

To taste Salt

Pepper

To taste Pepper

Instructions

1- Make the Dough: Mix flour and salt in a large bowl.

2- Add butter, using your fingers to blend into a crumbly texture.

3- Gradually add water, mixing until a dough forms.

4- Wrap and chill for 30 minutes.

5- Prepare the Filling: Cook onions in a pan until translucent.

6- Add ground beef, cooking until browned.

7- Stir in spices, then remove from heat.

8- Once cooled, mix in eggs and olives.

9- Assemble: Roll out the dough and cut into circles.

10- Place a spoonful of filling in each, fold over, and seal the edges.

11- Cook: Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 20-25 minutes, or until golden.

12- Pro Tips: For a flakier crust, incorporate a tablespoon of vinegar into the dough mixture.

13- This helps prevent gluten formation.

14- Seal the edges of the empanadas with a fork to ensure they do not open during baking or frying.
